MTN MoMo Highlights Digital Payments at AmCham Uganda Golf Open Launch

MTN MoMo expressed optimism about another year of meaningful conversations, new connections, and collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing convenience in digital payments while contributing to stronger business relationships across Uganda.

MTN MoMo  has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships and advancing digital payments through its continued support of the AmCham Uganda Golf Open 2026. The company participated in the tournament’s official launch press conference, marking its second consecutive year of sponsorship alongside the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Uganda.

The AmCham Uganda Golf Open has become a key platform for bringing together individuals, businesses, and communities through shared experiences and networking opportunities. MTN MoMo said the tournament creates an environment where relationships can flourish, ideas can be exchanged, and new business opportunities can emerge.

Speaking at the launch event, MTN MoMo’s Manager for Treasury and Cash Management, Patrick Sumata, emphasized the importance of the tournament in strengthening partnerships. He noted that the AmCham Golf Open provides a relaxed setting where people can connect and build lasting relationships, enabling the company to better understand the needs of the businesses, communities, and customers it serves.

Sumata also reiterated MTN MoMo’s commitment to delivering simple, accessible, and relevant digital payment solutions that address everyday financial needs. He said the company remains focused on making digital transactions easier while supporting initiatives that encourage collaboration and community engagement.

As preparations for the 2026 tournament continue, MTN MoMo expressed optimism about another year of meaningful conversations, new connections, and collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing convenience in digital payments while contributing to stronger business relationships across Uganda.
