The project forms part of the country’s broader efforts to bridge the digital divide by improving access to digital learning facilities and equipping schools with the infrastructure needed to support technology-driven education. The initiative is also intended to foster innovation and create an enabling environment for digital skills development among learners.
According to the invitation for bids, interested and qualified contractors are encouraged to obtain the bidding documents and submit their proposals before the deadline of 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
The Connect a School Project is one of the Universal Service Fund’s flagship programmes designed to promote universal access to ICT services, enhance digital inclusion and support Malawi’s digital transformation agenda through improved connectivity and educational infrastructure.
