Communications Authority Donates Computers to Schools to Advance Digital Inclusion
The computer donation forms part of the Communications Authority's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, which aims to enhance digital literacy and equip students with the skills needed to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The Communications Authority of Kenya has donated computers to four schools in Kenya’s Central and Eastern regions as part of its efforts to promote digital inclusion and strengthen the use of technology in education.
The computers were presented to Kangocho Senior School, Thuura Secondary School, Karangare Mixed Secondary School and Kanyuambora Boys High School, located in Nyeri County, Meru County and Embu County.
During the handover ceremony, CA Board Director Stephen Njuki Ngare reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to narrowing the digital divide by expanding access to information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and empowering learners with digital skills.
Ngare said the initiative supports the Kenyan government’s Digital Transformation Agenda by helping to build an inclusive digital society in which every learner has the opportunity to benefit from technology-enabled education.
