Airtel Africa Foundation Extends Education Partnership to Support More Kenyan Learners
The initiative builds on a partnership launched in 2021 that has already enabled 110 students to remain in school by removing financial barriers to education.
The Airtel Africa Foundation has renewed its scholarship partnership with Mukuru Promotion Centre , extending its commitment to supporting access to education for disadvantaged learners in Kenya.
Under the renewed agreement, the Foundation will provide full tuition scholarships for 22 students at St. Michael’s Secondary School between 2026 and 2028. The initiative builds on a partnership launched in 2021 that has already enabled 110 students to remain in school by removing financial barriers to education.
According to Airtel Kenya, the programme is designed to go beyond funding school fees by creating opportunities for young people to pursue their education, develop their potential and improve their future prospects. The company said the partnership reflects its broader commitment to empowering communities through education and expanding opportunities for underserved learners.
Airtel Kenya Managing Director, Ashish Malhotra, said the renewed partnership represents an investment in the potential of young people by providing the support they need to remain in school, pursue their ambitions and build brighter futures.
The company added that, together with Mukuru Promotion Centre, it remains committed to creating long-term social impact through education by ensuring more students have access to learning opportunities that enable them to thrive and succeed.
