Communications Authority of Kenya Donates Computers to Uasin Gishu School
The donation gives learners hands-on access to computers, enabling them to develop practical digital skills that are increasingly essential in Kenya's education system and the modern economy.
The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has donated a batch of computers to AIC Moi’s Bridge Secondary School in Uasin Gishu County, strengthening access to digital learning and helping bridge the digital divide for students in rural Kenya.
The donation gives learners hands-on access to computers, enabling them to develop practical digital skills that are increasingly essential in Kenya’s education system and the modern economy.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Jane Rotich, Deputy Director of CA’s Western Regional Office, said the initiative forms part of the Authority’s broader efforts to promote digital inclusion by ensuring students in underserved communities have access to technology and opportunities to build critical digital competencies.
The computers were donated under the Communications Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Investment programme and will support the school’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) programme. The equipment is expected to enhance practical learning while giving students a stronger foundation for future education and career opportunities.
The initiative also aligns with the Authority’s broader mandate of expanding access to information and communications technology as a public good, supporting efforts to improve digital literacy and inclusive connectivity across Kenya.
