Kenya’s Communications Authority Strengthens Digital Education Through Computer Donations
According to the Authority, the donation is intended to provide learners with practical exposure to digital tools, equipping them with skills that are increasingly important for education, employment, and participation in the digital economy.
The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has stepped up its efforts to bridge the country’s digital divide by donating computers to four secondary schools in Migori County under its Corporate Social Responsibility and Investment (CSRI) programme.
The beneficiaries—Nyabikongori Mixed Senior School, Nyamaharaga Secondary School, Nyankore Secondary School, and St. Monica Bondo Kosiemo Secondary School—received computer equipment aimed at strengthening ICT education and expanding students’ access to digital learning resources.
According to the Authority, the donation is intended to provide learners with practical exposure to digital tools, equipping them with skills that are increasingly important for education, employment, and participation in the digital economy.
The handover ceremony was led by CA Board Director Christine Bhoke Nchamah, accompanied by Jane Rotich, Deputy Director of the Authority’s Western Regional Office. The officials reaffirmed the regulator’s commitment to advancing digital inclusion and supporting communities through strategic investments in education and technology.
The latest intervention forms part of the Authority’s broader CSRI programme, which has funded similar initiatives across Kenya as CA continues to promote equitable access to digital opportunities and strengthen ICT capacity in schools nationwide.
