CA Kenya Expands Digital Inclusion with Computer Donation to Turkana School

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has donated computers to Kakuma Arid Zone Primary and Junior School in Turkana County, expanding access to digital learning resources for hundreds of learners in one of the country’s most underserved regions.
The donation was made under the Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Investment (CSRI) programme, which aims to promote digital inclusion by improving access to technology in schools. According to the Authority, the computers will provide pupils with hands-on experience using digital tools, helping them develop foundational computer skills that have previously been limited by the area’s remoteness and inadequate infrastructure.
Located in a refugee-hosting county where educational resources are often under significant pressure, the school is expected to benefit from more interactive classroom experiences and improved digital literacy, equipping learners with essential skills for the digital economy.
Speaking during the handover, Jane Rotich, Deputy Director of the Communications Authority’s Western Regional Office, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to ensuring that learners in all parts of Kenya benefit from the country’s digital transformation.
Kakuma Arid Zone Primary and Junior School is among 23 educational institutions that have recently received support through the programme, underscoring the Communications Authority’s ongoing efforts to build a more inclusive and digitally empowered society through targeted investments in education and technology.
