Zain Kuwait and CODED Academy Expand AI and Coding Programme for Students

Zain Kuwait has renewed its strategic partnership with CODED Academy to support the latest edition of the Kuwait Codes initiative, an educational programme designed to equip high school students with practical skills in technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and software development.
The partnership builds on a long-standing collaboration between the two organizations, which has trained more than 4,500 students in technical and programming disciplines aligned with the needs of the modern job market. The initiative aims to introduce young people to emerging technologies at an early stage while helping them prepare for future academic and career opportunities.
As part of this year’s programme, Zain hosted more than 50 students from the Kuwait Codes campus at its headquarters for an immersive learning experience that exposed participants to real-world applications of technology and AI across different business functions.
During the visit, students received an overview of Zain’s operations and its role in Kuwait’s information and communications technology (ICT) sector. They also participated in a session exploring the use of AI in media and content creation, where they learned how emerging technologies can improve productivity and the importance of using AI responsibly.
The programme also featured a cybersecurity session introducing students to the fundamentals of protecting digital systems, data, and critical infrastructure. The session highlighted cybersecurity best practices and the growing demand for digital security expertise as organizations continue to embrace digital transformation.
Students concluded their visit with a tour of Zain’s 107 Call Center, where they gained insight into the company’s customer service operations and learned how digital systems and technology solutions are used to improve customer support and operational efficiency.
Hosted at the American University of Kuwait (AUK), this year’s Kuwait Codes programme is open to students aged 14 to 18. Participants can choose from three learning tracks: cybersecurity, Python programming using AI technologies, and AI-assisted website development.
The cybersecurity track focuses on the fundamentals of information security alongside hands-on exercises and practical challenges. The Python track introduces students to coding with the support of AI tools to develop simple applications, while the website development track guides participants through designing and building complete websites using AI-powered development tools.
The programme adopts a hands-on learning approach that combines classroom instruction with workshops, coding challenges, friendly competitions, and practical projects presented at the end of the training.
According to Zain, the partnership forms part of its broader corporate sustainability strategy, which prioritizes youth empowerment and digital education. The company said it remains committed to supporting initiatives that develop national digital talent and prepare young people with the skills required to participate in the digital economy.
The collaboration also builds on previous joint initiatives between Zain and CODED Academy, including Academy X, the Kuwait Hackathon, and a range of specialized technology training programmes aimed at promoting innovation and preparing future-ready digital talent.
