Egypt Post and Supreme Judicial Council Digitise Judicial Notices with Bareedi

Egypt Post has signed a cooperation protocol with the Supreme Judicial Council to adopt its Bareedi digital postbox service as the official platform for the electronic delivery of judicial notices, marking a significant step in the country’s efforts to digitize judicial services.
The protocol was signed at the Supreme Judicial Council’s headquarters at the High Court of Justice in the presence of senior officials from both organisations. Under the agreement, Bareedi will serve as the legally approved channel for notifying individuals, companies and institutions of judicial notices through secure electronic means.
According to Egypt Post, Bareedi is a secure digital mailbox linked to a user’s national identification number, allowing individuals and organisations to send, receive and manage correspondence electronically. The platform incorporates identity verification, electronic signatures and seals, encryption, documented transmission and delivery timestamps, correspondence tracking and advanced data protection. These features give registered electronic messages the same legal validity as registered paper mail while strengthening trust in digital transactions.
The protocol is expected to enhance the efficiency of judicial procedures by ensuring the secure and documented delivery of court notices while protecting correspondence from loss, tampering or unauthorised modification. The organisations said the initiative will help accelerate litigation processes and improve the delivery of secure digital services in line with established legal and technical standards.
The agreement aligns with directives from Egypt’s political leadership to promote faster justice delivery, modernise litigation services and accelerate the digital transformation of the justice sector. It also supports the implementation of the country’s new Criminal Procedure Law, which is scheduled to come into effect on 1 October.
Egypt Post said the partnership reinforces its role in supporting Egypt’s national digital transformation strategy and expanding digital government services. The initiative also reflects ongoing collaboration between state institutions to improve public service delivery while advancing the digitisation of judicial processes across the country.
