Liberia Registers Over 1,200 Vendors on Electronic Government Procurement Platform
According to the Commission, the platform has already generated more than US$400,000 in revenue, reflecting increasing uptake of the digital procurement system and its role in improving efficiency, transparency and accountability in government procurement processes.
The Liberia Telecommunications Authority has highlighted the growing adoption of Liberia’s Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System, revealing that more than 1,200 vendors have now been registered on the digital procurement platform.
The e-GP system, developed by the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC), replaces the country’s manual procurement process, which officials described as slow and cumbersome. The platform enables government institutions to digitally plan, advertise, evaluate and award procurement contracts within a secure and transparent environment.
The PPCC recently held a recognition meeting to acknowledge government entities that have effectively leveraged the e-GP system to manage their procurement activities, underscoring efforts to accelerate digital transformation in public sector procurement.
