Cloudflare Launches Open-Source AI Workspace for Enterprises
loudflare said organizations will soon be able to access Cloudflare OS directly through the company or deploy it with the support of selected global implementation partners, including Presidio and Happy Cog, to tailor the platform to their specific operational and compliance requirements.
Cloudflare, Inc. has launched Cloudflare OS, an open-source AI workspace designed to give employees secure access to AI tools and internal company systems without requiring new infrastructure or lengthy custom development.
The platform, which was originally built to support Cloudflare’s own global workforce, is now available through the company’s open-source repository. Cloudflare said organizations will soon be able to access Cloudflare OS directly through the company or deploy it with the support of selected global implementation partners, including Presidio and Happy Cog, to tailor the platform to their specific operational and compliance requirements.
According to Cloudflare, the AI workspace addresses a key limitation of conventional enterprise AI tools, which often lack an understanding of an organization’s internal systems, processes and workflows. The company said Cloudflare OS enables businesses to capture their institutional knowledge once and make it available across employees’ AI workspaces from the outset.
The platform includes an AI-powered workspace that allows employees to conduct research, generate documents connected to live company data, automate repetitive tasks and build applications without requiring software development expertise. It also incorporates Cloudflare’s Zero Trust security architecture, ensuring every user and request is verified before access is granted, while governed connectors allow organizations to control what AI agents can access or modify within internal systems.
Cloudflare OS also supports multiple AI model providers through Cloudflare AI Gateway, enabling organizations to manage AI costs by monitoring spending, setting budgets and routing tasks to different models based on performance and cost requirements.
“Cloudflare OS is how we run Cloudflare. For AI to truly transform an enterprise, it can’t live in a silo or behind a developer bottleneck. Every employee needs the ability to build, iterate, and automate safely. Our employees get AI tools connected to the systems they actually use, and security isn’t something IT has to bolt on afterward. We built this because nothing else did what we needed. Now any company can start from where it took us years to get.”
– Matthew Prince, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Cloudflare
To support enterprise deployments, Cloudflare is collaborating with global systems integrators to customize Cloudflare OS for organizations with complex technology environments, industry-specific requirements and regulatory obligations.
“Security and governance can no longer be an afterthought when deploying autonomous agents and internal AI tools. By grounding Cloudflare OS in Cloudflare’s Zero Trust network and capability-based security model, Cloudflare has created a standard for safe enterprise execution. We are proud to join the Cloudflare OS launch to help organizations curate context, deploy Gatekeepers, and deploy enterprise-grade AI applications safely.”
