The new journey enables eligible users to verify their identity securely through eKey 2.0 making registration faster, simpler and more secure, while reducing the number of manual steps required to complete onboarding.

stc pay Bahrain,  Bahrain’s innovative and accessible mobile wallet for digital financial transactions, has announced the integration of its customer registration journey with Bahrain’s official eKey 2.0 digital identity platform, developed by Beyon Connect,  part of the Beyon Group, in partnership with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA). The new journey enables eligible users to verify their identity securely through eKey 2.0 making registration faster, simpler and more secure, while reducing the number of manual steps required to complete onboarding.

This integration supports a more seamless customer experience by streamlining identity verification through government-backed digital identity and eKYC capabilities. By adopting Bahrain’s national digital infrastructure in collaboration with Beyon Connect, stc pay Bahrain is enhancing trust, improving convenience and reinforcing its commitment to delivering secure digital financial services that meet the expectations of today’s customers.

“We are pleased to simplify the registration journey for our customers through our integration with Bahrain’s eKey 2.0 platform, supported by our partners at Beyon Connect. This reflects our commitment to delivering seamless digital experiences that place convenience and security at the forefront, while supporting Bahrain’s digital transformation ambitions. By reducing onboarding steps and enabling trusted identity verification, we are helping customers access digital financial services with greater confidence.”

– Metin Zavrak, Chief Executive Officer, stc pay Bahrain

“Digital identity is becoming a fundamental enabler of trusted digital services. The integration of eKey 2.0 with stc pay Bahrain demonstrates how secure, government-backed identity solutions can simplify customer onboarding while enhancing security and user experience. At Beyon Connect, we remain focused on helping organisations accelerate their digital transformation through trusted digital infrastructure that creates value for businesses, customers and the Kingdom’s digital economy.”

– Richard Budel, Chief Executive Officer, Beyon Connect

Dr. Khalid Al Mutawa, Deputy Chief Executive of Operations and Governance at the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), affirmed that the integration of stc pay into the eKey 2.0 ecosystem reflects the iGA’s continued efforts to expand the adoption of the national digital identity authentication system and enable its use across a wider range of platforms. This contributes to delivering more efficient, secure, and seamless government and digital services. Dr. Al Mutawa further highlighted that the iGA, in collaboration with its partners, remains committed to developing and adopting innovative solutions that advance Bahrain’s digital transformation.

This initiative reflects stc pay Bahrain’s continued focus on innovation, customer experience and the expansion of secure digital services in the Kingdom. It also supports Bahrain’s Digital Government strategy and broader efforts to accelerate digital transformation through trusted national platforms that enable a more connected and efficient ecosystem.
