Cauridor Deepens West Africa Push After 23 Partner Meetings Across Four Markets
Cauridor said the engagements provided insights into the different roles the four markets play within the region's financial and trade ecosystem.
Financial technology company Cauridor is strengthening its partnerships across West Africa following a three-week market tour that covered Senegal, Mali, Togo and Benin.
The company’s Chief Operating Officer, Alpha Barry, visited the four markets alongside regional Managing Directors Barry Mamadou Fodé and Retice Sidney Assinonvo, holding 23 meetings with banks, mobile money operators and money transfer companies.
Cauridor said the engagements provided insights into the different roles the four markets play within the region’s financial and trade ecosystem.
Senegal continues to serve as an important payout market for the company, supported by widespread mobile money adoption and its role as a base for Cauridor’s regional operations. Mali was identified as a market with significant growth potential, while Togo’s strategic position and major seaport make it an important logistics and trade gateway to landlocked Burkina Faso and Niger.
In Benin, Cauridor highlighted the potential created by the country’s growing trade links with neighbouring Nigeria.
A key priority emerging from the meetings was the need for faster settlement across the region. Cauridor said payment speed is increasingly influencing transaction volumes and intends to increase investment in capabilities that can accelerate settlement for its partners.
The company also emphasised the importance of direct engagement with financial institutions and other ecosystem players as it expands its digital financial infrastructure across Africa.
According to Cauridor, the market visits have resulted in a clearer set of priorities for its regional expansion and partnership strategy, reinforcing its focus on accelerating the digitisation of financial services while maintaining strong relationships with local partners.
