MTN Nigeria Becomes First Telecom Company to Earn ISO 28000:2022 Certification

MTN Nigeria  has achieved the ISO 28000:2022 certification for its Supply Chain Security Management System (SCSMS), becoming the first telecommunications company in Nigeria to attain the international certification.

The ISO 28000:2022 standard provides a framework for organisations to identify, assess and mitigate security risks across their supply chain ecosystems. The certification recognises organisations that establish systems for managing supply chain security and strengthening operational resilience.

MTN Nigeria said the achievement reflects its commitment to internationally recognised best practices in security, risk management, governance and business continuity.

According to the telecommunications company, the certification will further support efforts to safeguard its people, assets, information and operations while maintaining secure and efficient service delivery to customers and other stakeholders.

MTN Nigeria described the milestone as another step towards building a stronger, more resilient and future-ready organisation, with supply chain security positioned as an important component of its broader operational excellence and risk management strategy.
