VAST Data and CrowdStrike Integrate Security Across Enterprise AI Infrastructure and Data
The collaboration brings CrowdStrike’s Falcon security platform into the VAST AI Operating System, with native support for the Falcon sensor already available.
VAST Data and CrowdStrike have announced new integrations designed to extend enterprise-grade cybersecurity across the infrastructure, data and AI workloads supporting production artificial intelligence systems.
The collaboration brings CrowdStrike’s Falcon security platform into the VAST AI Operating System, with native support for the Falcon sensor already available. The companies are also developing deeper integrations with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM and Falcon Guardian, CrowdStrike’s AI Detection and Response (AIDR) solution.
The partnership is aimed at addressing growing security risks as enterprises move AI from experimentation into production. As AI environments become more interconnected, sensitive information can move across infrastructure, users, models and AI agents, creating additional points of exposure.
By combining VAST’s visibility into data activity with CrowdStrike’s threat intelligence, detection and response capabilities, the companies said organizations will gain greater context when identifying suspicious behaviour and investigating potential threats across AI environments.
Under the integration, the VAST AI Operating System will support the CrowdStrike Falcon sensor natively, bringing endpoint and workload protection into the infrastructure supporting mission-critical enterprise AI applications.
VAST’s audit telemetry will also integrate with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, allowing security teams to correlate detailed information about how users and machines access enterprise data with CrowdStrike’s broader threat intelligence and detection capabilities. This is expected to help organizations identify anomalous activity, investigate incidents and assess the potential scope of security threats.
A further integration will connect Falcon Guardian with VAST InsightEngine, which is designed to ingest, process and enrich unstructured enterprise data for AI knowledge bases and workflows. The integration will introduce threat detection into data pipelines, helping organizations identify sensitive or potentially risky information before it reaches downstream AI systems.
The companies said the approach can help organizations identify sensitive data, including personally identifiable information, as it is incorporated into AI knowledge bases. CrowdStrike’s technology can also detect AI-related threats such as prompt injection and jailbreak attempts as users, applications and agents interact with AI systems.
Renen Hallak, Founder and CEO of VAST Data, said securing AI environments requires visibility beyond the underlying infrastructure, including understanding who accesses enterprise data, how information moves through AI pipelines and how applications and models interact with it.
CrowdStrike Chief Business Officer Daniel Bernard said the partnership extends Falcon protection across the infrastructure, data and AI pipelines supporting next-generation enterprise AI.
The technologies will also be demonstrated within an NVIDIA-powered AI factory, showcasing how CrowdStrike security can be integrated into a VAST-powered data pipeline supporting accelerated AI workloads. The demonstration is intended to show how enterprises can protect proprietary data throughout its preparation and use in AI applications.
Native CrowdStrike Falcon sensor support for VAST has been certified and is available, while the VAST integrations with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM and Falcon Guardian are currently available in private preview.
The collaboration comes as enterprises increasingly deploy AI across business operations, creating demand for security architectures capable of protecting not only AI infrastructure but also the data and workflows that underpin AI applications.
