MTN Zambia Appoints Larry Annetts as New Chief Executive Officer
As he takes charge of MTN Zambia, Annetts is expected to focus on strengthening the company’s role in enabling progress for Zambians, with particular emphasis on accessible, relevant and inclusive digital solutions.
MTN Zambia has appointed Larry Annetts as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 September 2026, as the telecommunications company seeks to advance its growth, digital transformation and digital inclusion agenda in Zambia.
Annetts joins the role with more than three decades of experience within the MTN Group. He has held leadership positions across several competitive markets and has been involved in driving commercial growth, digital transformation and product innovation within the Group.
His experience includes roles at MTN South Africa, MTN Nigeria and MTN Irancell, where he contributed to the development and expansion of the operator’s business and digital capabilities.
Annetts succeeds Abbad Reda, who served as CEO of MTN Zambia from 1 May 2023 until 1 September 2026. MTN Zambia thanked Reda for his leadership and contribution to the company and wished him success in his new position as CEO of MTN Côte d’Ivoire.
