Gabon Launches Electronic Document Management Platform to Modernise Public Administration
Through the project, ANINF is supporting the dematerialisation of administrative processes, document security, the integration of information systems and user support.
Gabon has officially launched a new Electronic Document Management (GED) platform as part of efforts to reduce reliance on paper and improve the efficiency of public administration.
The platform was launched on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the General Secretariat of the Government (SGG), in the presence of Mark-Alexandre Doumba, Minister of Digital Economy, Digitalisation and Innovation, and Abdu Razzaq Guy Kambogo, Secretary-General of the Government.
Developed with the expertise of the National Agency for Digital Infrastructure and Frequencies (ANINF), the GED platform enables government administrations to securely register, classify, search, share and preserve documents electronically. It is designed to reduce paper-based processes, improve correspondence tracking and accelerate the processing of administrative files.
Alberto Mounguengui Moudoki, Director-General of ANINF, presented the platform’s main functionalities and practical benefits during the launch. Government employees will be able to quickly locate documents, track their progress, forward files for validation and access archives according to their authorisation levels.
The pilot implementation brings together the SGG and the Directorate-General for Examinations and Competitions (DGEC), two administrations with different operational requirements but a shared need for structured, secure and efficient information circulation.
Through the project, ANINF is supporting the dematerialisation of administrative processes, document security, the integration of information systems and user support. The initiative is expected to contribute to faster, more reliable and more accessible public services.
The launch forms part of Gabon’s broader digital transformation agenda, with the government positioning digital technologies as a tool for modernising public administration and strengthening the country’s digital sovereignty.
