Spiro Academy Expands IoT Skills Programme With First All-Women Cohort in Uganda

SPIRO  is expanding its technology skills development efforts in Uganda through the Spiro Academy, with the Internet of Things (IoT) emerging as a key focus of its programmes.

The company said its first-ever all-women cohort is providing young women from local communities with practical technology skills and opportunities to explore careers in the sector.

The programme is also designed to support Uganda’s growing technology talent ecosystem by helping participants build technical experience and confidence.

Spiro said the initiative is highlighting women from Ground Breaker Talents, describing them as young women who are breaking barriers and contributing to the future of electric mobility in Uganda.

The development forms part of Spiro Academy’s broader efforts to build technology capabilities among young people while supporting the growth of Uganda’s electric mobility ecosystem.
