MTN Zambia Foundation Launches ICT Hub at Nachiyaba Secondary School
As part of the initiative, the Foundation donated 10 computers and converted a refurbished container into a functional ICT Hub. The facility will provide learners with a dedicated space to develop digital skills and access technology-based learning resources.
MTN Zambia Foundation has launched the Nachiyaba ICT Hub at Nachiyaba Secondary School in Chibombo, Zambia, as part of efforts to expand digital inclusion and access to technology.
The launch brought together the District Commissioner as Guest of Honour, the Ward Councillor, community leaders, school management, teachers, learners, MTN Zambia Foundation representatives and other stakeholders.
As part of the initiative, the Foundation donated 10 computers and converted a refurbished container into a functional ICT Hub. The facility will provide learners with a dedicated space to develop digital skills and access technology-based learning resources.
The ICT Hub will also be available to the surrounding community, allowing young people and other community members to access digital resources, develop new skills and connect with educational opportunities.
MTN Zambia Foundation said the initiative is part of its broader efforts to use ICT to support education and skills development. Through programmes such as the MTN Skills Academy, young people can also access courses and resources aimed at preparing them for an increasingly digital economy.
The Foundation said the hub is intended to provide learners with opportunities to explore technology beyond the classroom and develop skills that can support pathways into education, employment and entrepreneurship.
