Safaricom Ethiopia Recognised for Advancing Ethiopia’s Digital Agenda

The recognition highlights Safaricom Ethiopia’s efforts to support the country’s digital transformation and expand access to digital services and technology.

Safaricom Ethiopia Telecommunications PLC  has been recognised by Ethiopia’s Ministry of Innovation and Technology  for its contribution to advancing the country’s Digital Agenda 2025 and supporting the objectives of Digital Agenda 2030.

Safaricom Ethiopia’s Chief External Affairs Officer, Andualem Admassie, received the recognition from Ethiopia’s Minister of Innovation and Technology, Belete Molla, during the STRIDE Ethiopia 2.0 Summit 2026.

The recognition highlights Safaricom Ethiopia’s efforts to support the country’s digital transformation and expand access to digital services and technology.

Several innovative companies were recognised during the STRIDE Ethiopia 2.0 Summit 2026 for their contributions towards the objectives of Digital Agenda 2025 and Ethiopia’s longer-term Digital Agenda 2030 ambitions.

Safaricom Ethiopia said it remains committed to investing in technology, connectivity and innovation as Ethiopia works towards building a more digitally connected economy.
