The campaign was officially launched on October 1, 2026, with discussions focused on strengthening cybersecurity as digital financial services continue to expand across Ghana.

Ghana has launched the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2026 campaign, with government and financial-sector stakeholders calling for stronger collaboration to protect the country’s growing digital economy.

The campaign was officially launched on October 1, 2026, with discussions focused on strengthening cybersecurity as digital financial services continue to expand across Ghana.

Speaking at the launch, Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Mohammed Adams Sukparu, outlined five key priorities for the campaign: securing digital finance, preventing and responding to cybercrime, protecting critical infrastructure, strengthening cyber hygiene, and investing in capacity building, research and collaboration.

Representing the financial sector, Daniel Sowah Klu, Acting Head of Cyber and Information Security at the Bank of Ghana, stressed the need for stronger cybersecurity measures to keep pace with the growth of digital financial services.

The Cyber Security Authority said the campaign reinforces the need for trust, resilience and shared responsibility as Ghana advances its digital transformation.

The initiative highlights collaboration among government institutions, the financial sector and other stakeholders as a key part of efforts to strengthen Ghana’s cybersecurity resilience.
