Author: Kay-Lyne Wolfenden

Through this partnership, the two entities will enable sovereign, AI-driven IT/OT managed security services designed for critical infrastructure.

du,  the leading telecom and digital service provider, announced at GISEC Global the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rilian  to strengthen sovereign, AI-driven IT/OT cybersecurity capabilities across the UAE’s critical infrastructure and industrial sectors. The non-exclusive collaboration will enable advanced, locally delivered managed security services aligned with UAE data sovereignty, regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.

The MoU brings together du Tech’s National Hypercloud, sovereign cloud infrastructure, managed security services and local capabilities with Rilian’s Caspian agentic AI platform, IT/OT cybersecurity expertise and advanced cybersecurity technologies. Through this partnership, the two entities will enable sovereign, AI-driven IT/OT managed security services designed for critical infrastructure.

The collaboration responds to the growing need to strengthen cyber resilience across critical infrastructure and industrial settings where IT and operational technology systems require advanced security capabilities. Through du Tech portfolio and Rilian’s expertise, this MoU aims to support organisations in protecting critical environments while meeting national requirements around data sovereignty and cybersecurity.

“As critical infrastructure becomes more connected by the day, strengthening the security of both IT and operational technology environments is essential to building long-term national cyber resilience. Our collaboration with Rilian combines du Tech’s sovereign infrastructure and managed security capabilities with advanced AI-driven IT/OT cybersecurity expertise. Through our National Hypercloud, we are creating the foundation to deliver advanced security services nationally, in turn helping critical and industrial sectors strengthen their cyber resilience while meeting the UAE’s data sovereignty, regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.”

– Jasim Al Awadi, Chief ICT Officer, du

“Our partnership with du represents the next chapter in Rilian’s journey to ensure the sovereign, expert use of cutting-edge cyber defense capabilities enabled by agentic AI. With the increase disruption of critical infrastructure through both cyber and kinetic means, we are proud to make (Caspian), our purpose-built agentic harness, available within du’s National Hypercloud to improve the security of government and critical infrastructure providers across the UAE. ”

– Christian Schnedler, Chief Executive Officer, Rilian

Rilian’s Caspian platform provides security and defense teams with a unified command layer across their technology stack, using pre-trained agents to augment analysts, capture institutional knowledge and support deployment across air-gapped, sovereign and compliance-restricted environments. Through the MoU, these capabilities will complement du Tech’s National Hypercloud and managed security services to support the delivery of sovereign cybersecurity solutions in the UAE.

The collaboration strengthens du Tech’s continued focus on sovereign cloud and cybersecurity through its National Hypercloud, expanding the advanced security capabilities available to critical infrastructure and industrial sectors. It further supports the UAE’s wider cyber resilience ambitions in line with the National Cyber Security Strategy for the UAE 2025–2031.
