Ghana Telecom Chamber Meets Minister to Discuss Industry Challenges and Digital Priorities

Through its public policy work, the Chamber provides a platform for its members to present a collective industry position, engage with government officials and collaborate on solutions to common challenges.

The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications  and its mobile network operator members have met with the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, and the Administrator of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), Rashid Tanko Computer, to discuss issues affecting the telecommunications sector.

The engagement was led by Sylvia Owusu-Ankomah, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, and focused on dialogue between government and industry stakeholders on shared priorities.

The Chamber said constructive engagement between policymakers and telecom operators is important for addressing industry challenges and supporting the development of Ghana’s digital economy.

Through its public policy work, the Chamber provides a platform for its members to present a collective industry position, engage with government officials and collaborate on solutions to common challenges.

The meeting reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between Ghana’s telecommunications industry and government as both sides work towards shared sector priorities.
