Safaricom Business Launches SD-WAN Service to Simplify Enterprise Connectivity
By bringing multiple connectivity options together under one managed service, Safaricom Business aims to help organisations simplify network operations, support business continuity and adapt their networks as their requirements change.
Safaricom Business has launched a software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) service designed to help businesses simplify network management, improve connectivity and strengthen operational continuity.
The launch, announced on October 8, introduces a managed networking solution that allows businesses to manage their wide area networks as a unified service rather than handling individual connectivity links separately.
The service addresses the growing complexity of enterprise networks as organisations operate across multiple locations, use more applications and rely on different connectivity options. Safaricom Business says its SD-WAN offering is designed to help businesses manage these demands with greater visibility and control.
A live demonstration at the launch showcased features including intelligent traffic steering, application awareness, centralised network visibility and resilience. The service also supports Ready Mobility using LTE and 5G connectivity, providing businesses with additional options for maintaining network access.
