The 5G+ network is designed to support artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled services, real-time monitoring, automation and more responsive digital experiences.

Ooredoo Qatar  has launched what it describes as Qatar’s first 5G+ mobile network, marking a new phase in the country’s digital connectivity development and expanding the infrastructure available to consumers and businesses.

The launch was announced by Ali Bin Jabor Bin Mohammad Al Thani, Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Qatar. The company said the network offers greater capacity and lower latency to support advanced digital services and applications.

The 5G+ network is designed to support artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled services, real-time monitoring, automation and more responsive digital experiences. For consumers, the enhanced connectivity is expected to improve network performance, while businesses could use its capabilities to improve operational efficiency, support data-driven decision-making and deploy next-generation digital applications.

The launch builds on Ooredoo Qatar’s continued investment in advanced connectivity infrastructure and its strategy to support the country’s evolving digital requirements.

The initiative also aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Digital Agenda 2030, which aim to advance innovation, strengthen competitiveness and accelerate digital transformation across the country.

Ooredoo Qatar said the network represents a step towards developing connectivity infrastructure capable of supporting future digital services and emerging technologies.
