The authority showcased Konza’s contribution to the sector at the Rift Valley Global Services Forum in Eldoret during a roundtable hosted by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy and the Kenya Investment Authority.

Kenya’s Technopolis Development Authority  is promoting Konza Technopolis as a hub for business process outsourcing (BPO) and global business services (GBS), with a focus on attracting investment, expanding digital infrastructure and creating employment opportunities beyond Nairobi.

The authority showcased Konza’s contribution to the sector at the Rift Valley Global Services Forum in Eldoret during a roundtable hosted by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy and the Kenya Investment Authority.

Among the initiatives highlighted was the BPO Onboarding Framework, designed to guide investors through the process of establishing operations and accelerate their entry into the market.

The authority also outlined Konza’s digital infrastructure, including infrastructure-ready spaces, reliable power and connectivity, and the Konza National Data Centre, which is intended to support BPO and other digital service operations.

Digital skills development was another focus, through the Jitume Digital Enablement Programme, which provides skills training and connects young people to opportunities through digital hubs across Kenya.

The authority said partnerships with industry, government and county administrations would continue to strengthen Konza’s role in attracting BPO investment and expanding digital employment opportunities across the country.
