These measures are expected to drive innovation, diversify the economy, and position Nigeria as a competitive player in the digital and services sectors.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a series of policies aimed at accelerating Nigeria’s transition to a digital and knowledge-based economy. The reforms, presented by the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, are part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The approved policies focus on strengthening Nigeria’s intellectual property framework, enhancing opportunities in digital trade, and expanding the country’s presence in the global services export market.
