Bayobab Appoints Rami Farah as Chief Technology & Information Officer to Drive Africa-Wide Tech Innovation

With more than 25 years of experience in network transformation, technology architecture, and large-scale operational delivery, Rami brings a proven track record of driving innovation and operational excellence.

MTN Digital Infrastructure, commercially trading as Bayobab , has announced the appointment of Rami Farah as Chief Technology & Information Officer (CTIO), effective 1 January 2026. Rami will report directly to Mazen Mroué, CEO of MTN Digital Infrastructure.

With more than 25 years of experience in network transformation, technology architecture, and large-scale operational delivery, Rami brings a proven track record of driving innovation and operational excellence. He joins from MTN South Africa, where he served as Chief Technology Officer since 2023, delivering major improvements in network availability, benchmark leadership, 5G rollout, and NPS performance. His achievements earned him multiple accolades, including MTN CTO of the Year and the MTN Group CEO Network Reward.

Prior to MTN South Africa, Rami held multiple CTO roles across the MTN Group footprint, where he led network modernisation and drove technology growth. He holds a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications from Aristotle University in Greece and a Diploma in Telecommunications Management Studies from Spain.
