The integration aims to provide higher checkout completion rates for merchants by leveraging a payment flow familiar to Zap users.

Paystack  has introduced Zap  as a payment option on its Checkout platform, enabling millions of users on Paystack-powered websites and apps to pay quickly, securely, and seamlessly. Merchants with Pay with Bank Transfer enabled will see Zap appear automatically at checkout, requiring no additional setup.

For customers, the integration means they can use their Zap app for online payments, including food, rides, fashion, and services. On desktop, a QR code is displayed for scanning with the Zap app, while on mobile, the checkout opens directly in the app for instant payment approval. New users are prompted to download Zap before completing a purchase, and payments can be made using either a Zap balance or Apple Pay.

The integration aims to provide higher checkout completion rates for merchants by leveraging a payment flow familiar to Zap users. Payments are confirmed in seconds, reducing delays and improving the shopping experience. Merchants also benefit from Paystack’s secure infrastructure, which supports high-volume transactions across Africa.

Zap has also rolled out improvements to enhance usability and reliability. New features include one-tap repeat transfers, automatic bank suggestions, a balance visibility toggle, real-time service updates, and a Tier 3 account for higher daily limits and balances. These updates aim to make everyday transfers faster, safer, and more convenient for users.

With this integration, Paystack and Zap are providing a familiar, flexible, and reliable way for customers to pay online, while offering merchants a smooth and efficient checkout experience. The Zap app is available for download on both iOS and Android.
