The collaboration comes at a pivotal moment as Morocco accelerates its digital transformation under the Digital Morocco Plan 2030, with a focus on nationwide 5G rollout.

Comba Telecom Limited , a global leader in wireless communication solutions, and SICOTEL Communications (SCOMM),  a leading Moroccan telecom and ICT solutions integrator, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during GITEX Africa 2026. This strategic partnership aims to jointly explore, develop, and implement advanced In-Building Solutions (IBS) across Morocco, addressing the growing demand for seamless indoor wireless coverage in commercial, industrial, and public venues.

The collaboration comes at a pivotal moment as Morocco accelerates its digital transformation under the Digital Morocco Plan 2030, with a focus on nationwide 5G rollout. With the government targeting over 25% 5G coverage by the end of 2026, this partnership will play a key role in delivering the infrastructure needed to support this ambitious initiative. Comba brings its award-winning ComFlex MAX solution and deep expertise in Passive and Active Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). SCOMM, established in 2004 and a trusted solutions company serving all Moroccan service providers and major enterprises, contributes its extensive local market knowledge, deployment capabilities, and customer relationships.

“This strategic partnership with SCOMM marks a key milestone in Comba’s commitment to empowering Africa’s digital infrastructure. As Morocco’s telecom market continues to grow – projected to reach $4.59 billion by 2030 – this partnership will help address indoor connectivity challenges in residential, commercial and industrial sectors, especially with important sports events coming in 2030. By combining Comba’s global technology leadership with SCOMM’s deep local expertise, we are uniquely positioned to deliver future-ready, energy-efficient wireless solutions that meet the evolving demands of a mobile-first economy in Morocco.”

Rayan Hamze, General Manager, Comba MEA

Under the terms of the MOU, both parties will collaborate on: Identifying and pursuing new In-Building Solutions project opportunities across Morocco; Deploying Comba’s comprehensive range of Passive and Active DAS solutions, including the innovative ComFlex MAX platform and joint marketing initiatives to promote integrated indoor wireless solutions to Moroccan operators and enterprises.

“SCOMM has been a leading player in wireless solutions integration in Morocco for over two decades, serving the country’s leading telecom operators and enterprises. Partnering with Comba enables us to enhance our portfolio with world-class in-building wireless technology. As Morocco readies itself for major international events and accelerates its 5G deployment, this partnership positions us to offer seamless indoor connectivity experiences that will support the Kingdom’s broader digital transformation goals.”

Akram Fathi, General Manager, SCOMM
