POTRAZ Launches Business Training Programme for Zimbabwean Innovators

July 2, 2026
1 min read

The initiative forms part of POTRAZ's Innovation Drive, which seeks to support innovators beyond product development by equipping them with the business skills needed for long-term success.

The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ ) has launched a seven-day Improve Your Business (IYB) training programme aimed at helping local innovators strengthen and commercialize their businesses following the recent Innovation Product Launch and Business Forum.

The programme, taking place at Chinhoyi Caves Motel, brings together 20 innovators who previously unveiled their products during the forum. The initiative forms part of POTRAZ’s Innovation Drive, which seeks to support innovators beyond product development by equipping them with the business skills needed for long-term success.

The practical enterprise development programme focuses on enhancing participants’ capabilities in key areas including business sustainability, market readiness, customer engagement, costing, regulatory compliance, investment readiness, and commercialization.

Through the training, participants will refine their business models, strengthen their operational capacity, and develop strategies to position their innovations for wider market adoption. The programme is designed to help innovators transition from launching new products to building sustainable enterprises capable of attracting investment and achieving commercial growth.

The initiative reflects POTRAZ’s continued commitment to fostering Zimbabwe’s innovation ecosystem by supporting entrepreneurs with both technological and business development skills needed to bring locally developed solutions to market.
