Türk Telekom Expands AI-Powered Digital Transformation Project for Turkey’s Prison System

Türk Telekom has signed a new cooperation protocol with Turkey’s Ministry of Justice to expand the use of artificial intelligence and next-generation technologies within the country’s prison system, further advancing the digital transformation of public services.
The agreement builds on the Integration of Smart Technologies into Penal Institutions Project (ACEP), a long-running initiative jointly implemented by Türk Telekom and the Ministry of Justice. The new phase will integrate AI-driven capabilities into the project’s digital infrastructure to improve operational efficiency across correctional facilities.
The protocol was signed between Türk Telekom and the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses of the Ministry of Justice, reinforcing the partnership’s commitment to modernizing public sector operations through advanced digital technologies.
The enhanced ACEP platform has been developed by Innova, a Türk Telekom group company, using locally engineered technology and domestic resources. The solution is designed to deliver a more comprehensive digital transformation for penal institutions while supporting Turkey’s broader “Digital Turkey” agenda and national technology strategy.
Türk Telekom said the initiative reflects its ongoing role in supporting public sector digitalization through its telecommunications infrastructure and technology expertise. By integrating AI and other emerging technologies into government systems, the company aims to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and accelerate the adoption of digital services across public institutions.
