The organisers noted that the projects demonstrated the principles of Zambia’s Competence-Based Curriculum, which is focused on developing practical skills and competencies among learners.

Zamtel  has supported the 2026 JETS and TETS Fair, an initiative that brought together young innovators from across Zambia to showcase technology, science and STEM-based solutions.

The event featured participants ranging from early childhood learners as young as five to students in tertiary institutions. The young innovators presented ideas and projects focused on creativity, problem-solving and the application of STEM skills.

Speaking at the fair, Guest of Honour Dr. Kelvin Mambwe, Permanent Secretary for Educational Services, represented by Acting Director of Curriculum Development Petronella Malungisa, commended the innovations presented by the participants.

The organisers noted that the projects demonstrated the principles of Zambia’s Competence-Based Curriculum, which is focused on developing practical skills and competencies among learners.

Zamtel said its support for the initiative reflects its role as a digital enabler and its commitment to nurturing young talent and encouraging innovation. The telecommunications company also said initiatives such as the JETS and TETS Fair contribute to national development by exposing learners to STEM and problem-solving opportunities.
