According to Safaricom Ethiopia, the three new shops have created employment opportunities for more than 250 people, contributing to local livelihoods and economic activity in communities where the company operates.

Safaricom Ethiopia  has expanded its customer service presence in Debre Markos City with the opening of three new customer service shops as part of its ongoing network capacity enhancement and customer service programme in North-West Ethiopia.

The new outlets were inaugurated at locations around King Tekle Haymanot Square, Debre Markos Hospital and Abema Mariam. The expansion is intended to bring Safaricom’s telecommunications and digital financial services closer to customers and communities in the city.

According to Safaricom Ethiopia, the three new shops have created employment opportunities for more than 250 people, contributing to local livelihoods and economic activity in communities where the company operates.

Following the inauguration, Safaricom Ethiopia representatives visited businesses, market centres and community members operating around the new outlets. The engagements focused on understanding customers’ needs, gathering feedback on service accessibility and identifying areas for improving customer experience.

The company said the expansion forms part of its broader commitment to increasing access to its telecommunications and digital financial services while strengthening its presence across Ethiopia.
