The service expands the existing collaboration between the two companies, which already enables customers to transfer funds between MoMo wallets and FNB bank accounts and make MoMo payments through FNB point-of-sale terminals.

MTN MoMo Zambia  has partnered with FNB Zambia  to launch an ATM Cash Out service that allows MoMo customers to withdraw money directly from their mobile wallets at FNB Zambia ATMs without using a bank card or holding an FNB bank account.

The service expands the existing collaboration between the two companies, which already enables customers to transfer funds between MoMo wallets and FNB bank accounts and make MoMo payments through FNB point-of-sale terminals.

The companies said the new service is intended to strengthen the connection between mobile money and traditional banking by giving customers more options to access and use their funds. The partnership also supports efforts to expand access to digital financial services in Zambia.

Pafyako Malema Museba, Head of Strategy and Business Development at MTN MoMo Zambia, said the ATM service gives customers another secure and convenient way to access their MoMo funds while supporting broader financial inclusion.

Victor Silavwe, Senior Manager for Alternate Channels at FNB Zambia, said the service was developed around customers’ everyday financial needs, including accessing cash for business activities, family support and other expenses.

With the addition of ATM Cash Out, customers can now use the partnership for wallet-to-bank transfers, MoMo payments at FNB point-of-sale terminals and cash withdrawals from FNB ATMs. The companies said they will continue working on interoperable financial solutions aimed at making digital financial services more accessible across Zambia.
