Oman’s Otech Partners With Kaspersky to Strengthen Local Cybersecurity

Under the collaboration, Otech becomes an authorised Kaspersky Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) partner in Oman. It brings together Kaspersky’s advanced cybersecurity technologies, Otech’s local data centre infrastructure, its cybersecurity operations expertise and its nationwide support network.

Otech,  the technology arm of Omantel , has announced a new collaboration with Kaspersky,  a global cybersecurity and digital privacy company, reinforcing Otech’s role in advancing digital sovereignty in the Sultanate of Oman.

The collaboration was announced on the sidelines of GISEC Global 2026 at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai. Under the collaboration, Otech becomes an authorised Kaspersky Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) partner in Oman. It brings together Kaspersky’s advanced cybersecurity technologies, Otech’s local data centre infrastructure, its cybersecurity operations expertise and its nationwide support network.

The collaboration focuses on delivering locally hosted and managed cybersecurity solutions. The Kaspersky solutions covered by the collaboration will operate from Otech’s data centre in Oman, with support and management services delivered locally. This model gives organisations in the Sultanate greater control over their sensitive security data, supports data sovereignty requirements and strengthens their readiness to address evolving cyberthreats.

Through the collaboration, Otech will offer Kaspersky Next XDR Optimum and Kaspersky Next XDR Expert in the Omani market. Both solutions will be hosted and fully supported locally. Customers will gain access to enterprise-grade extended detection and response capabilities backed by locally based experts, local data centre infrastructure and round-the-clock support from within the Sultanate, rather than relying on technical support from outside Oman.

“As digital transformation accelerates across organisations in Oman, the need for cybersecurity that keeps pace with this transformation has never been greater. Organisations need advanced technologies that are hosted locally, supported locally and delivered with local accountability. This partnership allows us to combine Kaspersky’s proven technologies with the infrastructure, expertise and round-the-clock cybersecurity operations capabilities that we have built here in Oman. It gives our customers a level of control over their security data that a provider operating from outside the Sultanate cannot offer and brings us another step closer to achieving the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.”

– Abdullah Al Ghassani, Team Lead Service Operation, Otech

“Organisations today need cybersecurity solutions that combine advanced technologies, local infrastructure and the expertise required to support their specific operational needs, while also meeting growing data sovereignty requirements. Through Kaspersky’s partnership with Otech, our customers in Oman will gain access to Kaspersky’s advanced cybersecurity solutions, hosted within a local data environment and supported by Otech’s expertise and round-the-clock security operations capabilities. This approach gives organisations greater control over where their security data is hosted and managed, helps them strengthen their security posture and enables them to address an increasingly complex cyberthreat landscape. It also marks an important step in expanding our presence in Oman and contributing to the development of a stronger local cybersecurity ecosystem.”

– Rashed Al Momani, General Manager for the Middle East, Kaspersky
