Career 180 Launches KEMET-X to Bring $5 Billion in Global Capital to Egypt

Career 180 has announced the launch of KEMET-X, a global entrepreneurship and innovation gathering that is expected to bring approximately $5 billion in funds from five continents to Egypt.
The platform will bring together international investors, venture capital firms, founders, corporates, government leaders and technology pioneers, with the aim of connecting global capital and expertise with Egypt’s growing entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. It is also expected to create opportunities for investment, partnerships and access to international markets.
The announcement was made at a launch event in Cairo attended by stakeholders from Egypt’s entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem. The event introduced the vision for KEMET-X and its role in strengthening Egypt’s links with the wider African and global startup landscape.
The launch also featured the KEMET-X Tracks Challenge, covering business, creative, technology, intellectual property and innovation. The challenge highlighted the range of sectors and disciplines that will be brought together through the platform.

The September launch marks the start of preparations for the flagship KEMET-X gathering, scheduled for 14–15 December 2026 at the Great Pyramids of Giza.
The two-day event is expected to bring together more than 200 partners, startups and venture capital firms from over 50 countries, alongside investors, entrepreneurs, technology leaders, corporates and institutions from across the global ecosystem.
Through KEMET-X, Career 180 aims to position Egypt as a meeting point for global entrepreneurship and investment while creating opportunities for African founders to connect with international capital, markets and expertise.
