The collaboration will focus on developing training frameworks and improving learning pathways related to digital technologies.

Madagascar’s Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training (METFP)  has signed a partnership agreement with Orange Madagascar  to strengthen digital skills development and align vocational training with labour market demands.

The agreement was signed on October 8, 2026, by METFP, led by Dr Todysoa Manampy Andriamampandry, and Orange Madagascar, represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Aminata Ndiaye Niang.

The collaboration will focus on developing training frameworks and improving learning pathways related to digital technologies. It also aims to strengthen links between vocational education and employment, ensuring that training programmes better reflect the skills required by employers.

The partnership further seeks to improve young people’s access to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, expand training programmes leading to professional qualifications and diplomas, and support the economic independence of young people and women.

Through the initiative, the partners intend to use digital technology to create new opportunities for young Malagasy people, while strengthening the connection between skills development, workforce readiness and economic participation.
