MTN Uganda Opens Digital Resource Centre to Support Teachers and AI Learning
The facility is also designed to help parents better understand the school curriculum and support their children’s learning at home, including in areas with limited internet connectivity.
MTN Uganda , through the MTN Uganda Foundation, has launched the MTN Teachers’ Resource Centre in Komamboga to strengthen digital learning and help teachers integrate technology into classroom instruction.
The centre was established in partnership with Burn Radio Uganda as part of activities marking National Teachers’ Day. It provides teachers with online and offline educational resources to support lesson preparation, explore artificial intelligence (AI) tools and improve the use of technology in teaching.
The facility is also designed to help parents better understand the school curriculum and support their children’s learning at home, including in areas with limited internet connectivity.
The launch also marked the graduation of 102 teachers who completed the International Certification of Digital Literacy (ICDL), equipping them with additional digital skills to support technology-enabled education.
MTN Uganda acknowledged the contributions of MTN Women at Work, Burn Radio Uganda, Maendeleo Foundation and Uganda’s Ministry of Education and Sports to efforts to expand digital skills training and improve access to educational resources.
Through the initiative, MTN Uganda aims to address the digital divide in education by combining access to technology with the skills and resources teachers need to use it effectively. The centre is intended to support teachers, parents and learners by making digital learning opportunities more accessible, including in communities with limited internet access.
